On April 1, 2021, the RIKEN Information R&D and Strategy Headquarters (R-IH) was established at the RIKEN Research Institute.
Based on RIKEN’s 5th ICT Strategy (RIKEN ICT Strategy), the R-IH will strategically and comprehensively advance the development, construction, and operation of the information infrastructure and environment that support RIKEN’s research activities. Comprising the Information Security and Systems Division, the Infrastructure Research and Development Division, and the Guardian Robot Project, the R-IH aims to advance cutting-edge technologies and contribute to society.
